This one grows on me a little more every time I see it. Sage Stallone’s performance and the Story Arc that he has with his Dad is the best part, IMO. Seeing Burgess Meredith again was something special. The tears were certainly flowing during that. This wound up being a great film for Father’s Day ;-) I was waiting for you to recognize Kevin Connolly as the red-headed bully kid that eventually became his friend. Had a feeling you would of known him, possibly from Entourage. This was his first film. The first time I ever saw him was The Beverly Hillbillies (1993). Pretty funny movie. If you’re interested in more Boxing films, consider… Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956), starring Paul Newman. A film about Rocky Graziano. Requiem for a Heavyweight (1962), starring Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason and Mickey Rooney. The Great White Hype (1996), starring Samuel L. Jackson and others. A Great Sports Comedy. Cinderella Man (2005), starring Russell Crowe, Renee Zellweger and Paul Giamatti. Film about James J. Braddock. The Fighter (2010)… starring Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams and Christian Bale. Film about Micky Ward. For a Boxer, outside the ring, film… The Quiet Man (1952), starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. Highly Recommended. Really looking forward to Rocky Balboa (2006), when we finally see Rocky again after 16 years. Thanks again.

I am glad you decided to finish them. Tommy Morrison (January 2, 1969 – September 1, 2013) was an American professional boxer and mixed martial artist who competed from 1988 to 2009. He recorded 52 fights, 48 wins, and 42 by KO. He died at the age of 44 from cardiac arrest and AIDS. (RIP), Burt Young, who played Paulie, Died at 83 Last October. He was also a professional boxer, and he went 14-0. (RIP)

Don't say surprisingly, Rocky 5 is an underrated gem. At the time, it was crapped on because it went away from the standard Rocky formula, and because it was viewed as the last Rocky movie at the time, people felt it ended on a sour note. Personally, I think this is Stallone's best character work as Rocky since Rocky 2!
