Finally, someone recognizes Alfred Molina...but doesn't bat an eye when John Rhys-Davies makes an appearance. I thought everyone knew Gimli of The Lord of the Rings.

And if raunchy comedies doesn't offend her, she must check out the OG of raunchy comedies (with Karen Allen & John Belushi) - Animal House (1978).

Spielberg is not particularly known for long takes, but he actually does them a lot in his films, and he’s pretty damn good at it. If you didn’t notice the first time, check out the drink off scene when Marian is introduced, or the scene with Indy and Belloq in the bar after Marian… you know. The longest scene I believe is where Indy is packing while talking with Brody. The shot starts as a two shot at the door, then follows them around during this conversation. What happens in this minute and a half is a masterclass in cinematography. You hated to see the monkey die. You must’ve missed that the monkey was actually a bad guy. He belonged to the Eye Patch guy and called the other bad guys to her hiding spot in the basket. He was a Spy Monkey ;-) You were wondering if Marian was faking being drunk or really drunk or if she knew what she was doing. It was established earlier, in her first scene, first shot, that she could hold her liquor and out drink a man about twice her size. So when she asked Belloq if there was anything to drink, her plan was to drink him under the table and escape. ————————— If you’re unfamiliar with Karen Allen, who played Marian, please check out… Starman (1984)… directed by John Carpenter, also starring Jeff Bridges and Charles Martin Smith. One of the shots reminded you of Australia. This reminded me of a film that you should definitely see, if you haven’t. Quigley Down Under (1990)… starring Tom Selleck, Laura San Giacomo and Alan Rickman. Fun Note: Tom Selleck was very likely going to be cast as Indiana Jones at one point. He had screen tested and Spielberg really liked him. But, Selleck had already done the Pilot for Magnum P.I. and the series got picked up. Selleck was contractually obligated to Magnum and was unable to do Indiana. Do Spielberg and Lucas went with Harrison Ford, which was something they initially didn’t want to do, since Fire had already been in Lucas’ two previous films.
