Because no one else explained it, Rimuru didn't "acquire" Predict future attack, Raphael "learned" it by watching Hinata, the reason Rimuru was struggling was because Hinata already had a similar skill that allowed her to predict attacks ahead of time. That's why Rimuru has never been able to land a hit on her. But after Raphael learned(predictive calculation) from watching Hinata she took it and managed to upgrade it into Predict Future attack.
