Oregairu Too/Season 2 Episode 4 Reaction

So I might've lied... Just a little bit... I definitely did not watch the next episode right after lol I got tired and went to bed.

However, once again, another hour + length reaction. This show continues to impress with every passing episode.

And godamnit playing the first ending with that beautiful piano at the Yui scene was icing on the cake.

Oregairu Too/Season 2 Episode 4 Reaction

I think I kind of agree with Nailu to a certain degree, no matter what Orimoto might've thought, the way she was acting in that social situation was completely unacceptable. Consistently insulting someone to their face in front of other people is just completely wrong. It's what has led me to hate her as much as I do as she clearly has ABSOLUTELY ZERO regard for anything Hikigaya feels what so ever as she constantly makes fun of every little thing he does. He's bascially just a punching bag for her to feel better about herself and compliment Hayama while putting him down.

Damn, yeah I kind of fumbled that one, to be fair though, that's also something he seemingly wishes he could fix as well. As he talked about last season, so I thought there might've been some link there. But thank you for clarifying! :)

What I had said was that Orimoto didn't realize that Hachiman hadn't gotten over her yet as the viewer we hear Hachiman's thoughts so we know that he got over her in the theater, I don't care much for Orimoto either I just don't dislike her as much as other people do.

I'm sorry but Orimoto genuinely has no excuse for her behaviour, even with a guy who has no interest you still don't act like that, she was treating him like some sort of clown that's just there to be laughed at no matter what he does. In fact Hachiman literally fully does get over her during the cinema scene, that's what the whole "I was able to end something that never started line" is saying. Doesn't make the constant stream of insults any better, no matter if he likes her or not, you don't treat someone like that in that sort of social situation, period. It doesn't matter if she realizes what she's doing, it's less than even basic courtesy to know that constantly insulting someone isn't something you should be doing, especially when it's clear she's only doing it to then compare him to Hayato, who is of course the man among all men who no one can measure up to, while Hachiman is the exact opposite, according to her.

It's kinda funny how sure you are that Hayama's talking about his relationship to Yukino when saying "I've been thinking about how I can get back what I destroyed" when in my opinion it's made pretty obvious that what he's actually trying to do is repair Hikigaya's relationship with Yui and Yukino. He feels responsible for what happened with them because with the whole confession scene he asked Hikigaya for help even though he knew the only thing he would do was sacrifice himself, which in turn led to the situation with Yui and Yukino. That's why right after that line we see flashes of that scene and it's exactly what he explains ("I put my hopes in you, even though I knew how you were. And because of that you..." *shows scenes of both Yukino's and Yui's reactions to what Hikky did* -> i.e. "because of me you had a falling out with them" -> i.e "trying to repair what I destroyed").

Great reaction, a couple of notes : Iroha and Tobe are not siblings. I believe winning the election is really not important at all in Yui's mind, for Yukino its a mix of self assurance; maybe or maybe not influenced by Haruno ?; and stopping Hikigaya from hitting himself with his sacrifices, but for Yui like you said one of the reasons is she doesn't want the club to stop. After listening to Yukino and Hikigaya, Yui also though this was the best way to stop Hikigaya from hurting himself plus with the "I'll beat Yukinon" part there is also some selfish desire here mixed in. The surprised face Hikigaya made at the end, let's just say he is not that "dense" to people emotions about him. I tried to explain the end of the episode with Yui in a non spoilery way I hope it's not and I could be really off based since you can interpret a LOT of stuff here.

This episode shows why Hayama is one of the best characters in the show, I don't understand why people hate him so much. When Hayama was talking about what got destroyed he was talking about Hachiman's relationship with Yukino and Yui. Iroha is definitely an interesting character, she's another one of my favorite characters. It's never said in the show and haven't read the light novel but I don't think that Iroha and Tobe are related. While I don't really like Orimoto I think she genuinely didn't realize that Hachiman still wasn't over her and that's why she teased him so much, I don't think she even realized she was even hurting him.
