This is one of my favorite episodes in the first season we get to see Yukino come out of her shell a little bit and show she actually has gotten a little closer to Hachiman. I think you're right about how Haruno intentionally instigated the situation to force Yukino to try to overcome the situation. Another great reaction your reactions to the show are some of the best I've seen.

Near the end during the dialogue where you wondered if the translation was misleading or not between Yui and Hachiman, you can catch on what she mean but it honestly was the kind of scene you understand only later so I damn hope no one will spoil or hint at stuff
