Deer also don’t have parasites in their meat usually and the population could sustain you with a versatile meat and healthy fats

However, moving to AK in ‘82 and hunting moose, that is mighty fine eating and fresh backstrap served with ANYTHING makes a person weep! Just my thoughts, maybe not desert island type of hunting but great conversation starter.
