That is asinine, the only ones feasting are the cartels, everyone else is in famine and if your not in dire straits your being taxed for the privilege too. Mexico was lost a very long time ago, lets stop tap dancing around the issue. 25 years ago the U.S. should gone down there in a frickin weekend and physically intervene we certainly have plenty of grounds too. Regardless of what impotent/corrupt Mexico thinks. The fight is not against the people, but the criminals who continue to attack are southern border. When your gross national product is crime, that's a broken country. Whether it be Mexico or any other, the fury should be un-leashed that's all these cartels will understand or will respect. And then we get out of there. Lord help them if we have to come back. This actually is what the military and the tax dollars that support it, is all about. We have no reason to apologize, THEY DO. They most certainly do. But due to sheer ignorance and greed and lust of power I would not hold my breath.

Yep, Cartels, China, Iran, terrorists, and just throw in Russia for good measure; all using each other to push their own ambitions. I think the U.S. is addressing the threat at all angles. Very tense and fragile situation indeed.
