I enjoyed this episode and appreciate this excellent example of a catholic priest. He’s the kind priest I’d trust to lead men and boys. We need more people like this helping men have better examples. Faith in men and humanity restored!

What an asset to our Lord. What an outstanding Arkansan. Thank you for your service. Check out Subiaco. You'd be a great Role Model.

Humans are imperfect, we must look to repair the cracks of the foundations we have built.

I deeply admire how Shawn's focus goes beyond the interview—he genuinely cares about the individual. By helping people navigate their struggles, he exemplifies a God-given talent and truly lives out his calling. #LivingOutPurpose #PurposeDriven

Yes — psychedelics absolutely can open us up to evil. Scripture and history both warn about this, even if they don’t name “psychedelics” directly. Psychedelics bypass the natural defenses of the mind and spirit. They open a person to the unseen realm — but without the protection of the Holy Spirit, it’s a dangerous exposure. In Scripture, sorcery (Greek: pharmakeia) is directly tied to drug use and mind-altering substances. Pharmakeia — where we get the word “pharmacy” — is condemned in Galatians 5:20 and Revelation 9:21 and 18:23. It referred not only to poisoning, but also to spells, witchcraft, and drug-induced spiritual experiences. Demons seek openings. When people alter their consciousness without God’s covering, they unknowingly invite spiritual influences. Even visions or feelings of “connectedness” during psychedelics can be counterfeits — false experiences that pull people further from true faith in Christ. Satan masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Not every “beautiful” or “insightful” experience is from God. The enemy often presents false revelations to deceive, and psychedelics can be a tool for that deception. That’s why Scripture tells us to be sober-minded (1 Peter 5:8). Clarity is essential for spiritual vigilance. Psychedelics intentionally cloud and distort that clarity, leaving a person vulnerable. Bottom line, Psychedelics can absolutely open people to spiritual deception, oppression, and even possession if they step too far without Christ’s covering. It’s not just physically or mentally risky — it’s spiritually dangerous. Early Christians and modern missionaries both testify in areas where mind-altering substances were used, there was often an explosion of demonic activity — deception, possession, chaos, and despair. What seemed like “expanded consciousness” was really an open door to the enemy. Christ is the only safe door to the spiritual realm. “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved…” (John 10:9) Outside of Him, every other door is a trap.

Repentance and asking the forgiveness of God and putting your troubles on him really helps with the suicidal thoughts. I watched my father battle with this for years from Vietnam. In and out of psych wards a couple of times. At the end I think he was finally at peace and wanted to live but the cancer in the agent orange took him anyway.

Devastating.

Psychedelics themselves are not evil but they do open you up for evil to enter. Remote viewing and psychics are evil. Either you get your powers from Jesus or the devil.
