What I would give to sit and have breakfast with this man . I could listen to this guy all day long.

This man is a legend. So much respect for him .

You can literally see the moments. He can revisit that time and space. His whole facial expression changes, he can smell it, even taste. It’s so feral. He gets so lost in that space, he just radiants information but it’s electrifying. When Mr. Capers says, “ I’ll kill them all”. It’s not a facade, he could, and would. And DID

What an incredible career and determined individual, also a loving husband and father. And to be trained by Marines that fought in Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima is crazy. I don’t know if people understand how intense that must’ve been to learn from people like that. Marines that fought next to John Basilone or Chesty Puller, wow.

Amazing interview with an incredible human being! I'm blown away. There were a couple of points in the interview that shook me to my core. My father (deceased 2003) flew recon in Vietnam. He told me of a story while in one of the cities on a break like Hanoi (that Major Capers discussed) my father was sitting in a room when a bullet came through the window and blew his friend away right in front of him. Major Capers talked about how they were hunted even when on a break.

Honestly...ive shed a few tears hearing some of these stories on SRS but never have i felt such an impact compared to this interview. And after all the tears shed, when major said "not that anyome gives a damn"...it sunk my heart just that much more. We absolutely give a damn. THANKYOU, from the bottom of my heart. Thankyou Major Capers, for sharing your story with us. The world you have endured is met with a major *punn not intended* blessing and i appreciate your willingness to expose a world that is in the shadows. While it understandably sits in that phase...i want to belive youre the light at the end of the tunnel that will hopefully expand into shining the light on just what all you guys have been through in the toughest of times. The vietnam war is a war that is very little spoken about first hand, its amazing to hear the stories from someone first hand, and i hope this encourages more vietnam vets to come on to SRS to document their stories. We all love, adore, envy, (naively) and appreciate the time youre willing to set aside to recount histoy. Thankyou Major Capers for your time. As a candian, i DO give a damn. And i appreciate your life changing words. I believe that may not have been your motive, but it has had that impact. I will forever remember you, and not just you, but the work your men have done for us. Even as a canadian, im excited to teach my children on the impact youve made in our world. From the bottom of my heart. Thankyou. And thankyou Sean for doing what you do. Only you, have the footprint to make all of this possible. I love everyone involved ♥︎♥︎♥︎ From the fullest of hearts, Dave of Canada ♥︎
