Thanks to Shortphix, I just found out that the Plumjob mod affects the careers of NPC Sims and other Sims: meaning the game literally removes them from their careers and stops them from spawning to their jobs because they technically haven't passed an interview, nor do they have the required degrees. After today's patch update, there was another change made to the main menu screen. Apparently, the main menu will change based on events happening at the time in game; in other words, EA has control of what the background will be.
Of course, this update affected my main menu overrides. I'm going to be looking into this and will get back to you all when I can, with a solution to possibly fix this.
