some commentary on this one - i haven't been doing many finished pieces lately because i've been in the layout/sketch/cleanup stage of my next comic and going a little stir crazy as they say.. trying to suddenly make something polished out of nothing can feel forced for me when i'm in this mode, but I had some stuff to get done.. one of them is a project that conveniently involves a sort of collaged look so I had some fun flipping through sketchbooks, drawing some new stuff, and seeing what I can make of it all. there's something about starting traditionally and moving to digital that helps me get over that 'oh god i can't draw' feeling while retaining some looseness. i love what i ended up with from this little session, by the end i felt back in the flow enough to finish a drawing i've had 'mentally sketched' for a little while. yay
