Securing Your Rifle Accessories like a Spec Ops Dude.

A very common mistake that I see over and over again on the range is rifle accessories rattling off of rifles. In this video we go over how to properly secure any and all attachments with Locktite. You can find locktite at any local hardware store.
Been a crazy last few weeks of content creation. Wanted to say thank you. Ya'll make Vigilance Elite possible.
Getting caught up on comments tomorrow!

Good advice man. Something I’ve found works pretty well. I like to run things for a bit to make sure I like them before I reach for locking compound. Clear nail polish. It’s cheap as fuck, holds well, and if you use NON-acetate nail polish remover you won’t fuck up the gun finish. It’s good for T&E before you commit

2021-05-21 16:12:28 +0000 UTCRocksett on muzzle devices is a good idea if you aren't going to change it out regularly.

2021-05-19 14:17:17 +0000 UTCHi Shawn, Not sure if there is a difference, and this may be a question more towards the Manny side of things. Is there a performance difference between LocTite and Vibra-Tite? I switched over to vibra-tite when I purchased my first American Defense mount which included a small packet of VC-4. After doing some research, I found that VC5 was what I wanted to use on most screws (Temp Usage and production). and I use just a dab of 535 Gel when mounting my optics, as once installed, they will never shift. (I have not tried it on the rail yet) The only one I do not use is the VC-6 as it contains Dimethyl Carbonate, which is produced by the reaction of phosgene and methanol. If anyone doesn't know the history of phosgene or its dangers, you should check it out. Dimethyl carbonate is also used as an excuse for some countries to produce phosgene gas, which has been used on the battle field, I recommend reading up on it.

2021-05-19 05:35:07 +0000 UTCThat intro was great! I really like the orange permatex. It falls between the blue and the orange as far as strength. It's close to the red but doesn't require heat to break it loose.

2021-05-19 04:48:27 +0000 UTCI personally secure all cables with zip ties and electrical tape, not pretty but haven’t found anything better. Use a torque wrench on optics especially don’t want to break or strip screws.
