Rounds Limited Pistol Training Session

Hello Tiers II and III,

I hope you are all well!

In this video I cover a training regiment that can be done with 50 rounds. The idea is something you can work on when the planets align in 2021, you get a box of ammo and some range time.

The philosophy behind this is to identify fundamentals that need work and then give you a few more shots to practice any issues that have been isolated.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers!

Rounds Limited Pistol Training Session

Badass video Shawn! I'll be doing this drill in a few days when I go to the range.

Pistol and rifle are different but some things do translate. I'll have to do a dryfire video for carbine. πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

I’m currently without a handgun, so I’m focusing on learning my AR. (Stance, Punch out, Cheekweld, the basics.) I figure I can extrapolate this to a rifle. Maybe I’m wrong, let me know if I am. I just ordered a Laser Lyte to use while doing dryfire drills. No idea if they’re good. Let me know your opinion on them. Speaking of dryfire, what drills do you recommend? I’m also poking around the net trying to find good deals on frangible ammo for practice. Seems to be about 1/2 the cost of the good shit. Thanks again, for the help, Shawn!

LionOfTheMorning

Thanks Aaron! Let me know how it works for you.

Shawn

Thanks Shawn, great drill

Violator

Roger that! We'll do some follow up videos like this. Range time is getting tough to come by and the ammo bills/availability are rough these days too. Hopefully primers come back soon.

Shawn

These are the kinds of posts I would love to see more of! I'm in Cincinnati, and range access is tough, and I can't justify a damn-near $500 trip to get an hour of pistol and carbine training in all that often. I have to do a lot of dry firing/drilling at home, and since I'm still somewhat novice it's hard to know how to plan effective training with such limitations... Thanks for all you've been doing!

Casey Sumner

Thanks Lee πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Thanks BillB!

High round count training is pretty hard to justify at the moment. Even if price isn't an issue, hard to justify burning through a ton of rounds in training if you can't readily restock. Hopefully primers come back soon!

Shawn

I thought I'd hate it when I first got it and ended up really digging it. Lots of rounds down range with it though. Glock did change the barrel in that model though and the Gen 5's, might make a difference.

Shawn

Thanks Chris!

Shawn

πŸ˜‚Naa I miss sometimes too. This drill is good at isolating what needs work. Let me know how it goes!

Shawn

Great drill, thank you

Lee Webber

Solid and focused, great drill.

BillB

I literally haven't popped off a round since July when I went full on round hibernation. UGH!

Karl R Asmundsson

Great video will give it a try. Man it's crazy the 19x I just got I don't shoot it as good as my regular 19

adam willis

Excellent video. Great drill even if you have plenty of ammo.

So basically you threw a round to show the rest of the drill. No way I believe you missed strong side. That group was tight! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. Great drill. I'll try it today. Thanks again!
