Pistol Fundamentals: Trigger Press
Added 2020-07-18 02:32:15 +0000 UTCHello Tier II and Tier III,
Here is the next video in the Pistol Fundamentals series. Trigger press is one of the hardest concepts to master and is more often than not the culprit when a shot is thrown.
This takes time and practice to master. For those of you who are more advanced, focus on the reset portion of this video to help develop speed while maintaining accuracy.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments.
As always, adhere to all firearms safety rules and range commands/protocols at your facility. For more info on safety, see https://www.nrablog.com/articles/2015/7/the-rules-of-nra-gun-safety/

Haha. I love when he says shit like “that’s fucking stupid people”. Great video. Appreciate it as a new gun owner.

2023-04-18 23:51:11 +0000 UTCThank you. Relatively new to pistol shooting. Your videos are very helpful as I’ve learned some bad habits. Going back to the start. I push shots low to left when I go fast and don’t take my time. Appreciate your content. Keep them coming. Thx

2020-12-12 14:56:01 +0000 UTCThere are some really good 2 stage variants out there. Comes down to personal preference.

2020-11-28 06:28:01 +0000 UTCI love this . It works well for me, so well I think I’d like a 2 stage trigger on my AR15 . Do you like the 2 stage on the AR ? I recently got both my guns and had gotten the AR first so was used to a single stage , but I feel the control is nice with the take up.

2020-11-28 00:38:45 +0000 UTCI did not know that was in the manual. That is actually concerning to me and a huge drawback if it's an issue. Dryfire practice is important.

2020-11-21 04:53:01 +0000 UTCGood information, thank you. Anybody have a CZ P10C? The manual says don't dry-fire but how is it different than a striker-fired Glock or any other that can be dry fired?

2020-10-31 06:18:20 +0000 UTCThat does make sense. People shoot well both ways with that, the pad at an angle is the most common.
Shawn
2020-10-31 06:18:14 +0000 UTCBeen looking into those but never pulled the trigger on it.

2020-10-31 06:17:31 +0000 UTCThank you Shawn! This was an amazingly helpful video!

2020-10-31 04:29:09 +0000 UTCWhen I have my finger on the trigger my finger tip is at an angle rather then square.(if that makes sense) still keep it centered?

2020-09-29 00:57:17 +0000 UTCBrilliant exercise. Is there any value, in these ammo-scarce times, to get one of those laser training rigs?

2020-08-13 10:30:58 +0000 UTCSat in my truck during lunch and practiced trigger press for about 20 minutes today. Just considered it a working lunch. Lol.

2020-07-24 01:57:08 +0000 UTCDifferent lengths of pull as well for different platforms. Gotta find what works for you.

2020-07-20 21:14:16 +0000 UTCNothing replaces live fire but dryfire is definitely be a good supplemental especially when ammo is pricey like these days.

2020-07-20 21:13:43 +0000 UTCI do finger pad for my AR, and finger knuckle joint for my pistol. Everyone is different, one size doesn't fit all.
