At The Ready Carbine Presentations with UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski

Hello Tier II and III,
Here is some informal, behind the scenes footage of a lesson with Andrei Arlovski.
The movements we are practicing are aggressive presentations from the high ready, snapping forward first ensuring the buttstock clears any garments or gear and then lands in a consistent cheek weld every time. This motion is also good muscle memory to learn before training muzzle strikes. Similar motion.
The focus is more on training consistency and not raw speed.
I'll be doing a video on this soon.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
Cheers!

2020-04-24 01:45:14 +0000 UTCRight on! Thanks! I'll keep that in mind when we film it. This one is a good one, it also sets up the foundation fundamentals for strikes.

2020-04-24 01:43:57 +0000 UTCHi Vinny, All depends on the barrel, which is replaceable too. Most people will never shoot the barrel out on a gun (even me on most of mine because I regularly cycle through multiple guns spreading out that round count). Usually it's 10's of thousands of rounds before the signs start to kick in. Cool thing is if you do shoot a barrel out, you can get a new barrel installed for a pretty decent price these days. Gotta love the modularity of the AR15.

2020-04-23 21:06:01 +0000 UTCI like this! Will be watching for the more in-depth video. I need to work on this drill. You may be doing this in the new video, but could you cover the foot position and explain the trigger squeeze? Thanks for the great content! Stay safe!

2020-04-23 14:28:31 +0000 UTCI’m assuming that’s a brand new Daniel defense MK18 which means that safety is stiffer than grandpa after taking an entire pack of Viagra and finding his nudie mags from the Nam, which is why he’s using his support hand to flip it back in safe?
