In this video I cover my basic warm up drill. I want you guys to get used to doing this because it will be a building block for future drills. We're going to start basic and ease into the more advanced. Adding distance from the beginning will highlight any issues with your fundamentals and also help develop consistency with your draw.
Feel free to ask any questions below. More content in editing and production now.
Stay safe out there.

Nice! How's the tape drill working for you on accuracy warm up? Curious on your feedback.

2020-04-10 22:17:50 +0000 UTCWhen I start out shooting with my psitol, my shots look like yours... some out to the left. Slowing down the trigger pull will help this, you said? Any other tips you have would be appreciated.

2020-04-09 02:41:19 +0000 UTCAbsolutely! Happy to be on here doing it. You guys have been awesome in getting this off the ground. More coming soon.

2020-04-09 02:38:04 +0000 UTCThank you for the drill. To the naked eye it seems simple but like you said...itβll amplify your flaws. Often times, from what I see at the range, shooters want to practice the βsexyβ stuff and by pass the slow basic drills that exploit flaws. Nothing great was ever built on a weak foundation. Again, I really appreciate the videos brother!

2020-04-08 02:02:16 +0000 UTCHonestly I have both, but I think leather is cool! Thinking about doing a video on that setup as I've got a few.

2020-04-08 01:50:22 +0000 UTCFrom what I have learned and experienced; getting up on target, focused on the target and your front sight post is taxing. Mind and body begin to degrade quickly; increasing errors and inaccuracy. Arms begin the fatigue and bounce around, eyes become blurry etc. Drawing close to your body, then punching out and getting your target and sight focus burn energy and mental power. The longer you stay punched out on target the more errors will occur. In a way, it is like refocusing with your best efforts each time you work through the cycle. To test this; punch out, get on target and release a round when ready, then do it again but this time hold focused on target for like a minute or so a minute before releasing a round. Do that a few times and you should see the difference.

2020-04-07 16:45:37 +0000 UTCIt may not be applicable to the drill in this video; perhaps you cover this later? But, I think it would be beneficial to walk through how to interpret the target results. Identifying, for example, what do trigger pull issues or anticipation issues result where the round was placed on the target would help one focus on what they need to work on. I guess this would include for example why one flings a round or consistently hits the target lower than where the point of aim was etc. Will you be covering these subjects in detail later? Great stuff man; seriously!!! Keeps us all thinking!

2020-04-07 16:13:28 +0000 UTCNot that it matters, but why a leather holster instead of kydex? What type of leather holster? Also, great drill. Thanks!

2020-04-07 01:28:09 +0000 UTCThis may or may not be the place, but looking at your videos and others, what is the purpose of drawing close to the chest, grip then extending, and the reverse when you are done? Is this just military training? Or is there another benefit?

2020-04-07 00:56:39 +0000 UTCWell, I'll ask the dumb/contentious question, Front sight, or Target focus?
