Oh heck no I think you have great technical skill (it's not super easy to get stylized art with proportions/anatomy that are both consistent and don't look super weird but I think your art does that well!!!) so that's why I'm impressed by the lack of sketching most of the time?? That pen advice is pretty interesting though, I might have to try that sometime when I have a solid pose/character in mind...thanks so much for the response!

omg thank u so much T___T i actually feel like i have a serious lack of technical skills/muscle 2 bang out a solid drawing sometimes.. maybe working on the whiteboard is a little less stressful haha. i used to draw solely in pen bc someone told me that was the best way to have solid confident lines.. since then i think ive learned that rly any approach is ok as long as u have a clear vision for what u want. sometimes i start w a sketch to make sure i dont make mistakes, other times i start w a shitty pen drawing then just paint/clean over it! both ways feel natural 2 me so its rly personal i guess. good to practice different methods no matter what though.

It's always so crazy to see that you just start like....DRAWING without sketching beforehand or really messing up that many times, you just go for it and it always turns out so good!!! Do you think just winging it and doodling without sketching first helps improve your drawing speed/stylization or do you just draw like that because it feels most natural? I wanna try doing that but I overthink my pictures so much I never end up finishing half of them jksdfhkasdf
