patreon

2020 plans..

i wanted to gauge how u guys feel about my patreon plans for this coming year ! might need to make a couple changes for time management + living type stuff. pretty much everything will be the same, but i'm considering:

*adding more sketch tier slots. like maybe 5 more ?

*reducing the number of commission tier slots + raising the price to $40usd ($65 for two characters) i feel bad doing this but im getting more small freelance jobs and its hard to juggle commissions+personal comic work alongside it, so im hoping to lighten my load a bit.

*making the $30 tier a shirt tier (this is the one im most hesitant about, i realized patreon's merch system functions different than i thought, so that after 3 months of a $30 pledge u would receive a shirt. not sure how i feel about this yet or if anyone would do it, would love to hear ur thoughts.)

*setting a new, long-term goal to triple my earnings so i can devote time to making free to access web animations and have enough money to pay voice actors ! very excited about this and i think it might be plausible to achieve it this year.. i have a couple projects i would love to be able to make into full fledged animations

so basically just wanna get a feel for how this sounds to u guys !

if u have thoughts/feedback, something i can improve on, or something that u wanna see from me in the future please let me know !! i wanna give u guys the best experience possible ^__^

your patreon's my favourite!! You post plenty of fun content regularly and I love getting commissions/sketches from you... I'd love to see some more apparel from you so I'm keen to see that happen! Congratulations on your goal being reached!!

I'd love some more sketch tiers! (Even if I cant afford it right this second πŸ’€) And the shirt tiers sound super enticing too! Also, can I just say, I'm so happy patreon has been going well for you!! You're one of my FAVE Illustrators and I'm sure 2020 has so much in store for your work!!β™‘πŸ₯Ί

A cool tier could be to vote for a theme that the shirts could be each month or only they would be eligible to buy them or be able to vote in a poll for what the sketch could be

Max

yeah i'll probably stick to that kind of thing, i like doing short runs !

Kelly Ficarra

I do think kikillo pieces on Instagram has a very good method of selling shirts without worrying about quantity I think a great idea is if you have a design you dont think a lot of people would want to be you could just make like 5 (like with a rough sketch or quick creation) and die hard people like me would snatch them quickly. Kind of like how you do art giveaways but a bit more consumer friendly while still being almost like getting a 1/1

Max

oh also i am thinking of making a secret store for patrons to make merch drops easier.. bc its hard to tell with all the comments what is/isn't claimed i wanna just make a new incognito online shop for patrons and letting u guys know when i have new stuff up in it

Kelly Ficarra

yeah i enjoy printing my own merch and have print shop access atm !! i was just interested in the feature because i wouldn't have to handle shipping and everyone would have a shirt in the size/color they want without me running out. unfortunately im not really a fan of their setup so im leaning towards not doing it

Kelly Ficarra

You could get shirts printed and sell some in limited quantities on etsy for a more lucrative earning, you can cycle designs or make 10 of one for demand
