Charge up front ? (once I change it, I cannot go back)

It's okay now but later as content grows they will just steal it, really rotten to me and you. It's $3 and I think it's very fair. The monthly support makes me want to create for you, shows that you are interested in these comics/ stories. The ones who already did this, I banned them for life. Later I will lock out the $3 tier so it also keep the thieves out. Newcomers will have to pay the highest tier to join than they can downgrade to a lower one. This way its fair to all.
This will not change your billing, you will be charged at the 1st of the month. Only new signups.
