Here is an overview of the different available weapons. In this introductory draft, we clarify a few things about the Fixed and Floating reticles of the ASP-17 sight. One important piece of information to keep in mind when using the floating reticle in Automatic Ranging mode is "how" the range is computed.
Interestingly, the Mi-24 does not come with a laser range finder. Instead, the range is calculated by combining the radar altitude and pitch attitude... which gives an accurate ranging information if the terrain is level, but inaccurate ranging for uneven terrain elevation. We'll come back to it for Part 2, which will include unguided weapon procedures.
