May 2022 Sketches 18 - Xiao (Genshin Impact)(Sequence)

Here's a sequence featuring Xiao from Genshin Impact. The idea was suggested by Sieg.

"Xiao: After many fights, Xiao has amassed a large amount of karmic debt, so much that his normal medicine no longer has any effect. He mentions this to Aether and, as always, Aether is willing to try something to help him out a little. Aether knows he can purify things, like that time with Dvalinn's tear, so he tries purifying all of Xiao's negative karma. After purifying his karmic debt Xiao is still in pain, so Aether leaves to ask Zhongli if he knows how to help, but it turns out that Xiao's pain was just because his body was preparing him for a massive surprise. All that positive karma surging through his body somehow caused an explosive growth spurt. By the time Aether returns with a new way to help, Xiao is towering over Wangshuu Inn. Xiao, looking over himself, begins to crack a small smile, never having thought his duty of watching over the Inn and marsh would be taken so literally."

1. Aether trying his purification skills on Xiao...only to seem to have no inmediate effect. He runs off to ask Zhongli about the proccess, while Xiao waits at the Wangshuu Inn...only for his body to start letting out an ominous rumble....

2. Xiao undergoes through a overwhelming growth spurt. Seeming like the purification did clean all of the negative Karma, but his body took some time to adapt to the situation...now his body is being filled by the positive Karma he had deserved all these years. He could swear he was able to hear all of his lost comrades whisper "thank you..." in his ears while undergoing his drastic change. Meanwhile, other Inn attendants had to run away with how violent Xiao's growth was, his expanding mass crushing furniture and tables aroung, but he made sure to move away from hurting people.

3. Xiao's weight increased inmensely along with his size, so much that his sheer weight destroyed the lower terrace of the Wangshuu Inn, his still growing body plopping down into the lake, the debree and waves of water flying everywhere, while people were watching in amazement at the growth of the not so short adeptus.

4. Xiao's growth kept going strong. As he stood up, he could see how the Wangshuu Inn and all of its visitors kept on shrinking in size from his point of view...as his height kept on raising up and up. He surpassed the height of the nearby mountains, until his upper torso was able to reach the clouds!

Aether was back from talking to Zhongli, knowing a bit better what he was doing, only to find himself in the shadow of a gigantic Xiao, who was towering above the Inn and all the surrounding mountains of the area! Xiao looked down at Aether, inmediatedly identifying him when he got close, no matter how miniscule he was. Once their eyes met, Aether gave Xiao a big thumbs up to a mission well accomplished. Meanwhile, Xiao couldn't help but to let out a soft smile with the overwhelming positive karma, with how ridiculous the situation was, and thankful for Aether's support. 

Not that he had any trouble defending Liyue before, but he would definetly be able to cover a bigger area while doing so from now on~
