"Mer-Spyke is a must! He's your classic mer character and a situation with him would be lovely to see again. Maybe him being a huge shark or sea monster, or maybe cleaning up the ocean of some toxic sludge or something. Whatever you'd enjoy the most!"
When Mer-Spyke is around, any kind of toxic pollution is a great, big meal for him to enjoy and grow from it. Even the most catastrophic ones just serve to add more size to this hungry beast.
Here's him after cleaning a whole oil spill thanks to a ship crashing, him licking the remains of the ship clean. Another ship, thinking that Spyke's belly was a whole island, accidentally bumped into it.
Spyke may enjoy the meal, but even he knows that these ship sailors should be more careful with their job to not put the ocean and nature in danger. And if you're able to make Spyke upset, you know you effed up....and he means serious business with his threats.
