He's able to grow by the heart beats of people, or he can also use his growth powers to detect any paranormal activity going around. He's in charge of catching any ghosts that escape the Underworld.
So here he is visiting someone's house where he heard there were some ghosts that were hiding from him, he was able to detect the exact place with his growth powers.
