It was so bad my parents had to confiscate his blackberry and ipod touch and block youtube on the family computer. Tyler The Creator waisted his 20s being a black nazi to distract us from the fact that he likes fucking bisexual white boys. Meanwhile well adjusted queer black men like Frank Ocean wasn’t doing none of that shit. I truly do not know why gen Z has embraced Tyler and i’m glad he’s getting dragged on twitter

2025-10-25 15:19:26 +0000 UTCI was definitely a black tumblr girl in the 2010s but more specifically, I was a black CALIFORNIAN tumblr girl in the 2010s. So I definitely knew who Tyler/odd future and all of those other people were. As a black girl born and raised in California who grew up in a multiracial neighbourhood and went to a majority white/non-black high-school, the black kids at my high school were very much like Tyler and doja cat. A lot of the black kids in LA are very… well.. disconnected from blackness. I think because after the 90s, a lot of black people started to move to the south and LA became more culturally integrated. So therefore a lot of black kids, grew up around a lot of Mexicans, white people, asians, etc… very multiracial, but not culturally black like Atlanta or D.C or Memphis. That’s why a lot of black artists whom have come out of California have a very distinctive sound. Their music is very alternative/indie rock inspired. The alt-scene in cali was very interesting too. Like, they weren’t republicans, they hated George bush, opposed the Iraq war and were mildly liberal. But, they were these weird Eminem type edge-lords who would say outrageous shit to get attention. So yeah, I’ve never liked Tyler, except for those two songs he has with Kali uchis. Other than that, his music sucks.
