You should hear my friend talk. Dude's anti immigrant and thinks he's English. Both of us are first generation, our parents immigrated to England way back in the 1960s. And a bunch of them almost got deported as illegals, just look up the Windrush Scandal.

11:04 “does anyone give a fuck about anyone from Zimbabwe” had me rolling as a half Zim half Malawian girl🤣🤣🤣 you’re spitting facts though! I find it interesting seeing how diasporic politics plays out in america, since in the UK everyone identifies with their country of origin (for obvious reasons) and the debates don’t play out in the same way. We more get into the weeds about what being ‘black British’ means since it’s an amalgamation of so many cultures and whether we have the right to call ourselves British when some of us at 1st/2nd gen immigrants

I’m part of the problem cos I do always like posts where Ms Tina claps back but I couldn’t cope being Beyoncé. If I was famous I know my mam would be going off in the comments on every single person who had a bad word to say and that is exhausting to try and get in front of. Like the fact Beyoncé has to call and ask her to take stuff down😭I know what it’s like when you have super reactive parents and it becomes exhausting when they become your child like you say lol. I don’t go to my mam with serious shit in the moment I just tell her once it’s resolved cos I know she’ll be hysterical ready to fight someone. I love the loyalty and protection mindset but it’s hard to deal with. And also useless waste of ur time because I’m not a kid anymore you don’t need to go to war for me🤣❤️
