Green Plantains are consumed a lot here in Ecuador. I knew nothing about this fruit before moving to Ecuador. This fruit is eaten green or unripe and also when it is fully ripe and has a yellow color.
Green plantains can be peeled and cooked when green. Ecuadorians call this fruit Verde.

I just love eating and growing cucumbers. They are one of the few things I have been able to grow well here at my house.
So tell me how do you like your cucumbers?

Fruit can clean and heal your body on many levels. Once you start to eat more fruit you will have more energy.
Fruit and sunshine for the win every day.
Make sure you take time to eat your fruit and spend atleast 15 minutes outside in the sun.

Today I celebrate 3 months postpartum. Wow it has already been 3 months since I gave birth. I am feeling strong and healthy thanks to a diet high in fruit and vegetables.
I really love fresh papaya and coconut water each morning. I find the papaya and coco water really help to clean my system.
Be sure to choose a diet that is rich in fruit and vegetables.

Oh to be a breastfeeding mom
Watching your baby grow sip by sip
breastfeeding is made easy by using a hammock. I have really enjoyed using my hammock to breastfeed my 2 month old. I can also easily rock him to sleep in this hammock.

Sometimes when you breastfeed a baby you will have times when they want to nurse almost constantly. This can be for many reasons. They may be experiencing refux, or they might be going through a growth spurt. The important thing to remember is that it is always ok to offer the breast to the baby over and over again. With breastfeeding you don't really have to worry about over feeding. When in doubt offer the breast!

In a world where fast food is replacing the home cooked meal, is it any wonder that formula is replacing breast milk?
Many mothers that receive free formula may wonder why they should go through the pain of breastfeeding.
We need to support and educate on the importance of breastfeeding.

I snapped this photo during one of my sons cluster feeding sessions. Cluster feeding is when the baby wants to breastfeed all the time. This can happen because the baby is in a growth spurt and needs to up the supply of breast milk. It can also happen if the baby is teething or just needing more comfort.
Don't worry if you are breastfeeding and your baby wants to constantly breastfeed. It will pass in time and the best thing you can do is offer the breast.

Wow it has been 8 years since I gave birth. I am 37 and grateful for the opportunity to mother this little guy. His birth was super fast with only an hour of intense contractions if that. I walked a substantial amount and was sure to swim every day many times in cold river water.
I look forward to sharing this wonderful world of motherhood with you. In hopes I can provide support to help another soul on this journey. Thank you so much for your support.

My baby is 5 days old and doing great. He was born here at home in water. My labor was fast and only this baby came very fast. I started having light contractions when I woke up around 7 am. My baby was born at 12 pm.
I was trying to get better photos but couldn't really concern myself with taking photos at the moment. I just wanted to be in the moment fully.
I hope to be able to do breastfeeding education and all things mother, baby and health here on Patreon. 2020-12-08 18:59:42 +0000 UTC View Post
