yall gonna apologize to blake lively you weirdos |Vlogmas Day 21

Comments

Have you seen Justin’s lawsuit against her, debunking Blake’s claims? Would love to hear your thoughts on it with his side in the picture! Obviously, when you’ve recovered from vlogmas lol

Bree Kells

Ppl were trying to get on her for an old quote about how she better have a daughter one day or a boy who becomes trans meanwhile I remember ppl used to bring that quote up bc they loved it and thought it was so #slayyy before the hate campaign

Marie

I’m definitely gonna be more skeptical of timing of “resurfaced” receipts of female celebs. After that journalist tried to “out” another celeb (maybe Anne Hathaway) I was like okay u just want attention bc ur actually a bad journalist and have nothing else

Marie

11:25 the THREAD part had me pi$$ing myself 😂😂😂😂😂

Dani

The low levels of reading comprehension and cognitive dissonance is astounding on the internet. People don’t READ, and they’re not willing to listen to anything but themselves. When the image is destroyed, that’s when people trash women online.

Dani

I still love Age of Adeline! Lol.

Parker

brad pitt too kinda, but they’re all sort of failing to be as successful as the original depp blueprint thank god. well not for blake, but at least people aren’t yelling ‘mutual abuse’ from rooftops now that she’s come forward.

risa kim

and then ppl mention her comments on wenstien as to why they don’t like her but yall only dug that up bc of the hate campaign baldoni’s team orchestrated! people are trying to find retroactively find reasons to dislike her outside of the shit wit the press tour and it’s like…get real and just admit that you fell for the jig. mind you she ended up apologizing back then for her comments and i’m hard pressed to believe you really gaf when you didn’t back when she was filming the movie with him.

risa kim

LMAOO I was waiting for you to say you don't gaf about the ariana ethan thing

Alexis

I think both came in trying to take charge and made filming uncomfortable. Ugh, can we talk about justice for the crew and just wanting to do their jobs in peace. Blake gives (rich/annoying) and Justin (petty/annoying)…also, Blake’s interview with girlie was rude and Justin being passive aggressive on red carpet was man baby vibes 🥴 just make the mediocre movie and go home 😩

Tyler Davis

The strangest part is the black women rushing in to defend white men suspect of wrong doing. They can never just leave it at 'I hope it's not true', it has to be 'these bitches lying'. Why???

Rainy Feathers

also that interviewer did the same thing with Amber Heard a couple yrs ago.

Lola Fettis

I’m in agreeance about tik tok needing to GO! It’s rotting our brains truly

Dejavu

call me nieve but when more information about the case was coming out. I was thinking there’s no way people can just blindly support this man, but here we are

Rihab

Blake has consistently participated in campaigns or spoken out about sexual harassment, misogyny, and csam for over a decade. It's ridiculous how ppl were saying she doesn't care about victims over a failed movie campaign, when she has probably done more for victims than anyone on that set or who were talking shit about her online.

Lola Fettis

the j*hnny d*pp case rlly opened a can of worms bc now EVERY terrible man is trying to follow his playbook in order to maintain a sliver of their reputation while also tearing down the victims. I can think of tory against megan thee stallion, joe jonas against sophie turner in their divorce, and diddy against cassie off the top of my head in the past two years using these smear campaign tactics!!! I fear that we'll see a lot more situations like this in the future, which gets even scarier bc of how eagerly misogynistic society is becoming, like justin's PR team said in those nasty leaked texts

rudi!!!

it's appalling that, in the eyes of regular degular women, famous women allegedly cheating or being a "homewrecker" is a more damning crime than famous men ACTUALLY abusing or sexually assaulting people!!! I have a friend that told me she wasn't interested in Sabrina Carpenter's new album bc she's "problematic like Ariana Grande," which honestly threw me for a loop bc huh??? it's not like either of them killed anyone??? do their relationship patterns affect their singing ability all of a sudden??? I'm confused

rudi!!!

Which is crazy bc the ppl that participated in the Blake witch hunt are the same ppl that probably would defend a nasty man any other day, but they draw the line at Blake lively being an annoying white woman during the press run of an unserious movie, get fucking real

ceeitrus

The misogyny of the perfect narrative is really showing. Blake lively can be a terrible person who stood by abusers like woody Allen & be a victim of Justin Baldoni she does not have to be a perfect victim. Two truths can happen at the same time.

DWG

Clock it!

Issa Smith

That and he’s one of the loudest male celebs (using that word very loosely) grandstanding about toxic masculinity and whatnot.

Mariah L.

At worst Blake Lively is an annoying white woman - but the hate trains always take things to a whole different place. I’m so glad you pointed out the crickets when other white celebs do the plantation weddings too.

Mariah L.

A big part of this that’s overlooked is the fact that Justin has that podcast where he unpacks toxic masculinity and all that bs. People wanna believe that a man is so good and different and it’s honestly disappointing everytime they prove they’re exactly the same as all other men.

Perf

There also needs to be a conversation about gay men too and how they’re also agents of misogyny but think bc they stan a female celebrity and participate in female centered spaces, that gives them a pass, and the only time they acknowledge misogyny is when their favorite female celebrity is being attacked while in the same breath participate in that same misogyny against another woman, like nah bookie you’re still a man being nasty to women that’s not how misogyny works

ceeitrus

heavy on the ppl just want to be bullies, I’m so over these STOOPID losers posturing as if they care about stuff to justify running hate campaigns on women, and we all know the root of it all is just misogyny, but if y’all wanna run hate campaigns for no reason just say that lmao that’s more respectable than y’all running hate campaigns under the guise of stuff y’all don’t actually care about

ceeitrus

It’s always a man behind the smear campaign, there’s a reason why that Blake discourse months ago was unserious at the time, it was a man being nasty and using TikTok to run PR games as a cover up, I’ve long passed the era of participating in hate campaigns against women especially when 95% of the time the discourse in question is _____ female celebrity is annoying and a mean girl, the internet takes that more seriously then these men running around being nasty, ppl are so so quick to believe women are nasty and nefarious but will die on the hill of their favorite celebrity man for abuse and sexual assault and preying on children and the justification (for women) will be oh he’s cute so idc….you dumb bitches lmao I hate them all so bad lol a lot of women that are chronically online are just losers so they engage in misogynistic rhetoric to feel something

ceeitrus

The theme of this Vlogmas has been why Tik Tok is terrible

Vanessa Carlos

I could not take this discourse seriously at the time because I’m like why yall do all this for her being… tone deaf? Like the punishment didn’t match the “crime”. Then I heard Justin was using Depp’s PR team and my alarm bells went off. I knew this was sketchy

Natalie Stravens

Thank youuu for the Colleen hoover take. Cos pls when I saw the movie I was like well ofc Blake would promote it like that, the story doesn’t take any of it seriously anyway. Justin always came off as a weirdo for acting like this was an important story to be told, that was my first red flag with him.

dyacc

I love that you give us these types of opinions. You’re pretty much the reason why I’ve been done with TikTok and twitter for months now and I’m not looking back, because I do not want my whole life revolving around the newest trending witch hunt. It’s all so pointless in the grand scheme of things. And absolutely I think people get a power trip from feeling like they had the power to “cancel” said celebrity. Meanwhile the celebrities will be successful regardless and regular people are the ones whose life is just passing them by while consumed by the mess. Your videos made me realise yes I can tune into patreon to get my fix of the latest gossip, but I can’t have it consuming everything I’m looking at all day! Thank you!

Chloé

If you want to deeply believe a celeb is a terrible person, at least do it to a man!! You’d have a better chance at being correct! Because the worst things y’all got on these women is that they are annoying and unlikable. That’s it!!! The fact that so much focus is on women being “bad” people, meanwhile the nastiness in question doesn’t come close to the literal crimes these men commit. This is why I can’t get behind these hate campaigns against women even when I don’t like the women in question.

Birdie Wolf

That’s why I knew something was wrong. This film’s existence is the real problem. So while promoing her hair care line might have been tone deaf, the film itself is tone deaf. It was annoying to see everyone forget that part! Like the film/book itself is a mess. It really was never supposed to be that deep.

Birdie Wolf

You remind me every time why I follow you Kenya💖

Dana

Like, my take away from that article was that her ex husband was a demon from the depths of hell, and I get to the comments and folks are harping on about Ariana Grande. And I was sitting there, thinking that these people are dumber than a bag of hammers. Ethan is clearly the villain in BOTH of these women’s stories. My Ariana take was she’s getting lashings that should be going to him, but that is what happens when you play stupid bird games. Like Ariana, you are doing all this behind a man that is sitting in the corner while you are taking all the lashing despite the fact that he’s the one that abandoned his wife and child. Yet, he’s not doing anything to protect her from the hate, or at least get it redirected towards him. He is just hiding behind her. It’s pathetic and disgusting, but like I said, you play stupid bird games, you win stupid bird prizes. Because the fuck do I look like taking abuse meant for a man? Absolutely not! That’s just not something I’m willing to put up with. That man needs to be doing everything in his power to redirect it towards himself or we are done.

Birdie Wolf

Chile people refuse to learn the lessons we’ve been taught so many times. Because when stuff was initially coming out, I was like “Blake Lively acting tone deaf and silly? What else is new?“ Keked and called it a day. But then folks kept dragging it, and I was seeing article after article, TikTok after TikTok, tweet after tweet. And I have resolved myself awhile ago not to just participate in a hate campaign against women especially when the crime in question is being annoying. So when the reports were coming out about the fall out between Justin and Blake and the differences in how they are promoing the film. I was trying to tell people “Listen, I don’t know what is going on. But what I do know is the internet is notoriously disgustingly horrible to women over the dumbest things. And I refuse to defend a man in Hollywood, too many of them are predators for me to be doing all of that. So I think y’all are doing too much about this whole thing. This feels like another one of those misogynistic hate campaigns against women. I think we should calm down.” That was not a popular opinion. They kept trying to defend it because of DV, and I’m sitting here like it’s a Colleen Hoover book….. Is it that serious? I couldn’t jump on board with the vitriol because again, was it giving tone deaf? Sure….But to me ‘It Ends with Us’ is also giving tone deaf as well. So the idea that people needed to be super offended behind what Blake was doing was weird to me. I don’t take the book seriously. I don’t take Colleen seriously. The fact that the book was being made was the biggest problem for me. So Blake treating this as a branding opportunity for her and husband was not that big of a deal to me. It wasn’t worse than the plantation wedding! For me, the original ‘crime’ in question didn’t deserve this level of heat to begin with. Anyway, I took a step back from the whole thing because, I know how the internet does women, and I was like all I know is when we eventually circle back on this I’m not gonna have to apologize for my behavior and actions. Now we are here and it’s much worse than I imagined. Will folks learn from this? Nope! A lot of folks are doubling down. It’s just like with Megan and Tory. It does not matter to these people. There is nothing that can be said or done for these people. A lot of people just want to hate on women. The truth does not matter. People just like hurting women. That’s it! And unfortunately a lot of women fall into this category as well.

Birdie Wolf

Honestly when this whole thing was going on I thought ok Blake is probs out of touch (just like almost every white woman ever??) but the hate train was ridiculous! People spend too much time getting mad on the internet. In a cost of living crisis like pls touch grass

Tia

Saw a tweet that said mean girl allegations hold more weight on social media than sexual assault / harassment and it’s too true

emily

I found it strange how Blake Lively suddenly came under fire, while everyone quietly unfollowed her co-star. I really don’t care for anyone involved in this story, but the smear campaigns against women are started to become genuinely concerning—it's like every mistake they've ever made gets dragged back into the spotlight under the guise of 'accountability. Yes Blake’s hair care line is ass, and she was a bit over-the-top promoting that movie, but the way people attacked her, you’d think she was the devil himself. All the while, Justin walks away unscathed. Sometimes it feels like women are their own worst enemies because honestly what was the goal? Also not to invalidate her experience, but I thought it was very telling how that one interviewer decided to post a follow up to her interview with Blake, basically adding more fuel to the fire. If it was that serious you should’ve handled it when it happened. Get a grip.

Abisola

Is very accurate :(

Monica

I JUST told my friend that people don’t believe Justin is a creep because he’s hot and she immediately gaslit me 😭

Dani

“you just wanted to believe something so you believed it” lmao gagged me! I was def liking the shadey tweets about Blake Lively months ago. Me and my coworkers dragged her bc of that viral video of her being mean to an interviewer. Smear campaigns are def easier to spread nowadays with the big 3 social media apps tiktok, twitter and instagram pushing us all the same content. Like ooh not me getting lashings

Jayden Brown

People who don’t like affairs 😭 you can say “that’s bad” and keep it pushing.

Alex

The caption bye 🤣

Jocelyn

No because I didn't want to be the type of person to scream I TOLD YOU SO into the void but also I feel vindicated. I remember when the TMZ article came out. Everyone was making fun of Blake and saying Justin asking about her weight because of "his back" and how sensitive she was. That people brushed over the part of the article where she talks about she's uncomfortable with kissing scenes. And I remember tweeting that everybody is ignoring how she heavily implied that he sexually harassed her. Some months later this lawsuit happens. It's like people are such idiots and refuse to think for themselves and want to be spoon fed a narrative to hate on women.

1997

Best believe it was a hate train because tell me who really gives a fuck…..

Taylor Haynes

Because mind you the dv movie got commercials, ads, paid promo like what are we really talking about here

Taylor Haynes

That’s exactly whyyyyyyyy TikTok has to go

Taylor Haynes

I was so pissed when I saw people insulting you for your Hailey Beiber video, that was made months to years in advance of the Hailey Beiber train. I was so annoyed, but also couldn't respect people that wouldn't fact check. They cut the video so it wouldn't show what you were talking about, which would have been a dead giveaway it was a trap.

jade smith

Justin hired the same PR crisis manager as Johnny Depp! Our society is still reeling from the Johnny Depp defamation trial, which is all about punishing women for feminism and for #MeToo. The fact that everyone is and will be so suseptible to men manipulating the narrative after they sexually assault or harrass a women reflects how conservatism on the rise, anti intellectualism is on the rise, and we need to challenge ourselves to be better people going forward.

jade smith

This video summed up all my thoughts when I found myself back on twitter yesterday. i've been off it since election day but i was curious abt something so i hopped into a thread real quick and OH MY GOD i couldn't leave fast enough. Idk how i ever used that app and it is so jarring and scary to know we live amongst these people. just nasty, stupid, hateful, bullshit. and thank you for clocking some of these patreon comments cause sometimes i be like... who let y'all in here??

Davonte

I feel one preview of this was Tana Mongeau and Cody Ko. An unlikable women shares her story about how a likeable man sexually mistreated her, and everyone sides with the man. If you're serious about combating rape culture and victim blaming, you stand with accusers because it's better to have believed someone who lied about assault versus believing a sexual assailant or harasser. Blake Lively doesn't need to be likeable in order to be victimized or believed.

jade smith

I completely agree with the point about people not caring about Lily Jay (Ethan Slater's ex wife). She wrote that amazing article about how his actions are compromising her career and everybody started babbling about Ariana, even though she only spoke about her ex. Instead of using this as a time to change and make sure when men misbehave, we laser focus on them and not the women. Not "Spongebob can tell his story, (I'm not trying to hear that shit)" 😆.

jade smith

literally always laughed whenever i saw the “well she’s promoting her hair care during a movie presser about dv” like i KNOW yall don’t care about dv and even if y’all did this dumb colleen hoover movie cannot be the hill yall tryna die on for real 😂

Jersie

I saw the Blake Lively hate campaign in real time on TikTok and I couldn’t get down with it either. It was all dumb as fuck. They tried to do the same thing with Rachel Ziegler. I do still find Ariana Grande to be weird, but the thing is I’ve always found her weird and didn’t really need the affair stuff to justify it (though it does solidify it), but I don’t think she’s ‘evil’ enough for me to not engage with her career. Even an Ari stan was like ‘love her and her music down, but she’s a floozy’ LMAO. Spongebob can choke though.

Imani Branch

Vlogmas is ending soon yall. I’m personally in the mood for the kenya podcast to return.

loveme4me

Anastasia

i’ll do you one better, some may be easily manipulated but a lot of them are willfully ignorant/nasty. it’s not that hard to acknowledge bullshit for the bullshit that it is (sorry for the swearing 🙏🏿 ) they just refuse to use discernment. like it gets to a point where i look around and think to myself that “you all want to be lied to and go up for the nastiness bc you’re convinced it benefits you.” and maybe the ignorance lies in there so i’ll just end with this: not all ignorance is innocence. especially if you’re grown asf.

momo

'No cynthia erivo' 🤣

pasteleclectic

Your Augmas videos was the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the article this afternoon

Gabriella

They really shouldn’t even be books tbh 🫣

Ian

Ariana had an affair babes it ain’t no hate train 😭

Alex

They're actually double down! People haven't looked at the NYT article at all because those texts are damning.

Mieshon Walker

People walking back their tweets making excuses when they just look stupid. "Assuming a woman who got married on a slave plantation is evil isn't bad or the gotcha moment yall think"???? I guess.

skylar

This plan of Blake’s MIGHT have worked if not for the fact that people didn’t like her before this movie came out

Dynasty Andrews

Colleen Hoover books should remain just that… a book

Dynasty Andrews

I 100% believe her, and people keep comparing her and her annoying ass husband tryna take over the movie to harassment. Not putting 2 and 2 together that he more than likely got so involved because of the harassment. Everybody’s incapable of thinking. And people also have a blind spot when it comes to white women being victims; men being misogynistic and women misusing the white women victimhood thing. Yes, white women tears are weaponized but sometimes they are also simply victims of the bullshit we know exists.

India Barrow

You were the first person I thought of when I heard the article dropped!!

Jenny

The title always makes me LAUGH

Kayla Mitchell

Every topic imaginable BUT Karen.

C

perfect timing i JUST sat down to eat dinner #EXTRA seated
