I specifically avoided things cus I knew I’d be clued in here. I won’t be tuning into that movie, but I could tell from the trailer that Zoe showed up for work. Love the message at the end. At lot of us watched the women in our lives settle for crumbs, and they way they uphold patriarchy is nauseating. Thoughtful and romantic are not synonymous. If we reverse the roles, would women get accolades for picking up something the household was running low on? There is so much work to be done 😮💨

To stay with the example provided, maybe he’s not a romantic but he fulfills her in so many other ways that make their relationship happy & healthy, and for that she might find it worth staying in the relationship. But I think it would be harder to find someone who meets your every need/fulfills all of your desires than it is to find a partner who loves you and shows that in ways that make sense to both of you.
