That’s what a lot of K-POP artist do. A month or two later, they would release the deluxe version with one or two songs. And the fans will buy the physical copy of the deluxe album. So their total album sales of the year were high. Actually K-POP takes even further. Because these days, they don’t even do deluxe. They’ll put poster cards of the members of idol group in albums, so fans would buy multiple albums just to collect the poster cards of all members. K-pop agencies have every strategy for bringing albums sales up.

Haha very easily actually! We are paying to be entertained during a concert, they are performing to get paid. If we agree that touring is their job, in what world would Chappell essentially miss out on an opportunity (vmas) that can lead to a "promotion" (bigger stages, more money, more exposure) like it sucks for you but it very much makes sense.. sorry.
