As a ST fan going way back I'm sure I speak for all those like me how much we enjoy Mary's commentary on these. Nimoy wrote the story and incorporated Shakespeare because he had a great appreciation for 'the Bard' having played Malvollo in the stage play "Twelfth Night'. So he knew how to write a good tale. He also knew Shatner's narcissism thus the lines Kirk 1: "He kissed me!" Kirk 2: "That must have been your life's ambition" In real life, Leonard Nimoy was a peace activist so that played into the story as well. I highly recommend to Mary and all here who haven't seen Nimoy's stage play production "Vincent" where he plays both Vincent van Gogh and his brother, offering deep insights to the tortured painter. You can find it by searching "Vincent The Play Youtube" otherwise you have to buy it. It's a one man play and really shows off Leonard's true talent as an actor far beyond his role as Spock.

Speaking of Shakespeare, one can find videos of the time (way back when in Canada) Shatner was Christopher Plummer's (General Chang) understudy in Henry V.

"You have not experienced Shakespeare until you've read it in the Original Klingon" Fun Fact: They actually did translate the play Hamlet into Klingon. It's available for purchase.
