Laura (X-23) says in to Logan in DP+W that: "You're always the wrong guy, until you weren't." (Oi, so hard to think about Laura and Logan right now after watching this!). But it's quote that works well will anti-heroes who eventually step up. In this movie it was Yelena following in her sister's footsteps and walking into the shadow. The only person who could defeat this, was the person still inside. She just had to reach him. Haven't heard great things about F4 but, I think this movie showed us what we need more of in the world right now. What draws fans. Not superpowers, but just understanding. In a very Professor Xavier kind of way. Messages of hope. And I loved seeing Bob still included at the end there, Yelena keeping her promise to him that she wouldn't leave him. In a way it reminds me a little of Natasha and Bruce, how she was able to calm him when he was the Hulk. I also love the IP argument over the Avengers and Yelena's dad's solution of Avengers but with a Z! Which with Generation Z, isn't that bad of a marketing ploy. But yeah. A movie about anti-heroes stepping up and really sending the message that stuffing down your demons doesn't work. You need to face them, but that doesn't mean facing them alone. Powerful stuff.

There’s WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki: Season 1, What If…?: Season 1, Shang-Chi, Hawkeye, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Moon Knight, Multiverse of Madness, Ms. Marvel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians Vol. 3, Loki: Season 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, Agatha All Along, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Brave New World, Daredevil: Born, Thunderbolts*, Ironheart & Fantastic Four: First Steps were all good to great projects. Unfortunate that former Disney CEO, Bob Chapek, ordered all these projects to be made so fast, and the Jonathan Majors situation forced them to pivot away from Kang the Conqueror, but they’re still trying with Doomsday. With teams like Sam Wilson’s Avengers (Sam Wilson, Joaquin Torres’ Falcon, probably Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Star-Lord, Shang-Chi, Hulk, She-Hulk, Thor & Spider-Man), The New Avengers/Thunderbolts (Yelena Belova, Winter Soldier, Red Guardian, US Agent, Ghost & Sentry), The Young Avengers (Ms Marvel, Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, Ironheart, Billy & Tommy Maximoff, and maybe Vision & White Tiger), The Defenders (Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and probably Echo), The Fantastic Four (Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, Human Torch & Franklin Richards), and The X-Men (Charles Xavier, Magneto, Wolverine, X-23, Deadpool, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Rogue, Mystique & Nightcrawler).
