Best Scream was the first one. I didn't suspect Jill (way to breathe life back into a franchise!). Trevor was a red herring, a clear setup to take the fall. In fact it was so obvious that I would say it was a clue that the real killer intended to go back to their normal life afterward. Charlie... It was obvious the killer (killers) were movie buffs and it was either him or his friend. And how Charlie looked when he was finally going to get lucky? The disbelief but also guilt on his face? Great acting. And of course Jill was always going to betray him. If Jill survives, I can see how this franchise can squeeze out another two films.

He was one of those indie directors who worked at Miramar and he made a couple horror films for them especially THE FACLTY which is a GREAT teen horror of the era with an insane cast. Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Clea DuVall, Famke Janssen, Salma Hayek, Robert Patrick… Total cult classic. Really takes me back.
