The past year has produced some exceptional animated movies: Inside Out 2, The Wild Robot, and Flow. The previous (American) Academy Awards awarded the Oscar for Best Animated Feature to an independent Latvian animator who created a spectacular dialog-free masterpiece ("Flow") using open-source Blender software and a measly $4M budget. I wouldn't ever claim that Flow is better than Wild Robot, but they're both worth serious consideration; therefore, my vote is for "Flow", for your next animated-movie reaction.
