I'm glad you got around to watching this movie. I always felt that it is a very underrated film that more people need to be aware of. Another underrated Oliver Stone film I believe you should check out someday is "U-turn" (1997) starring Sean Penn, Jennifer Lopez and Nick Nolte. It's not a war movie but very entertaining

2025-06-27 19:46:54 +0000 UTCWilliam Dafoe and Tom Berenger were both in this. Tom Berenger played the recruiting officer who came into the school. Tom Berenger played Sergeant Barnes in Platoon. And yes, Holly Marie Combs was only 15 in this, playing Jenny. Another excellent Vietnam War movie you need to watch one of these days is The Deer Hunter. Great reaction, Mary. This is the first time I've seen you laugh and cry simultaneously.
