"We try to keep it G-rated on this channel." I think that ship has sailed, Mary. This is the second Mission: Impossible film that I have seen too. The way you made it sound, I was expecting a nightmare. But it wasn't that bad, but it's not something I would watch again. I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan, but I did like the films: The Firm, Collateral, A Few Good Men, The Last Samurai, and Interview with the Vampire. Now that I think about it, maybe I like Tom Cruise, perhaps I don't like Mission: Impossible movies.

Just starting the video, but personally I've always enjoyed MI:2. Once upon a time I would have said it was my favorite movie in the series. Now a days, I think I would not say that, but it's more because future movies have been on such a higher level that they have just come to exceed MI:2. Never understood why so many people say it's bad or crap; it's just different... though it is a VERY 2000's movie, to be sure.

All the Mission Impossibles are good from here. 3 rises its quality. Mission Impossible reaches it prime with 4, 5, 6, and 7 all have rotten tomatoes scores higher than 94%. 8 falls a little flat trying to connect all the films together in the finale but the stunts are phenomenal.

This is the movie that is very different from the others. Didn't like it much. I'm glad the third one is more normal again and it might be my favorite.
