I actually liked the first Incredibles slightly more despite agreeing with everything you said about the second one. This villain story here was definitely better whereas the first has the more cliche predictable villain story. I definitely have nostalgic blinders for the first one lol.

I can tell you that a couple of the shows on the television in this movie are real shows from the 1960’s. One is The Outer Limit, a science fiction anthology series( it is famous for the opening monologue “ There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We can reduce the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits.”) The second one is Johnny Quest( a Hanna-Barbera cartoon, I love this series and it is a good show for a reaction)
