He only offered the beer and everything to act nice but then showed his true colors when no one else could see hence why Jake replied to him saying "suck my dick". I think Jake truly regret what he did to his ex girlfriend and truly was a changed man. She cheated on Tom but I think it was because she was confused and realized she had feelings for Jake and needed to check things.

It's more focused about the story of adjusting to new culture in a Japanese league than just pure baseball underdog story that Major League was.

2025-03-23 16:27:41 +0000 UTCHey Mary hope you see this, Harry Doyle, the announcer you saw in this, is played by Bob Uecker, he is a real baseball announcer and he was legendary in the Major League baseball scene. He announced all the way up to his death just this year. He passed away at the age of 90 Jan 16th 2025. He broadcasted for the Milwaukee Brewers and he is being honored with a statue outside the stadium and a petition is made to rename the stadium in his name to Bob Uecker Stadium. RIP.
