In the late 2000s my sister got a cat and named her Nala after Nala from the Lion King. Later on Nala became mine after my sister moved across country. I wasn’t really a cat person at first, was nervous and unsure but that changed very quickly. Miss her everyday.

2024-11-28 07:16:49 +0000 UTCThis is the very first movie I ever saw in theaters, and I absolutely love this movie. It is an absolute masterpiece. It soundtrack is definitely worth buying because it as amazing. Here is a fact that most people know but this film’s story is based “Hamlet”. Lion King II is based on “Romeo and Juliet”. Lion King 1 1/2 is based on “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead”. It follows Timon and Pumbaa and is set during the original film. If you ever get the chance to watch the Broadway version of the Lion King, I would highly recommend it because it is amazing. One of my favorite parts of the stage version was when Scar had Zazu imprisoned and had Zazu sing to Scar. Zazu sing “no body knows my sorrows” . Scar tells Zazu to lighten up so Zazu starts to sing “Let it go”( in the movie Zazu sings “It’s a Small World”) with Scar reacting by telling Zazu “anything but that” . That got the biggest laugh when I saw it

2024-11-28 05:26:45 +0000 UTCThe new Lion King film is its own original story that is a prequel about Mufasa and Scar. The voice of Mufasa is up and coming star, Aaron Pierre. Highly recommend watching his Netflix hit film, Rebel Ridge. That film got him cast as John Stewart aka one of the Green Lanterns in James Gunn’s new DCU. His first appearance as John Stewart will in the HBOMAX limited series, Lanterns. James Gunn’s DCU starts this Dec. 9th with the animated series Creature Commandoes which will also be cannon with the live action films and TV Shows.
