i mean i still had fun and enjoyed it (hear my review at the end) like it's not supposed to be a very serious movie, it's just supposed to be fun and if you had fun, the movie served it's purpose

Please please please continue this series up to Step Up 3. The rest aren't good. Either continue on your own or with someone who is not constantly knocking the movie down. I struggled a lot and was annoyed with watching this reaction due to Mels negativity toward the movie. I think you would have liked this movie a lot more if you didn't have someone constantly hating on every aspect of the movie. Hopefully you watch Step Up 2 and Step Up 3!

If you actually want to see a great Dance film checkout White Nights stars Gregory Hines (one of the best tap dancers of all-time) and Mikhail Baryshnikov (one of the best ballet dancers of all time) in one film. They also make it a dancing around a political escape thriller as well so the film gets a lot deeper than your normal dance film. Absolutely love this film. Also, Taylor Hackford’s directing in this film is absolutely phenomenal he really makes the dancing exciting in this film. Also, Best Original Song at the Oscars for Lionel Ritchie’s “Say You, Say Me”.
