If you are looking for quintessential Australian movies, the first thing that comes to mind is "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert". A couple of other great movies that are distinctly Australian would be "Gallipoli" (a WWI movie) and "Rabbit-Proof Fence" (which is about the Stolen Generation). You could also check out any Baz Lurhmann you haven't seen ("Romeo + Juliet" is the only one I see on your FAQ), though only two of his movies are actually set in Australia ("Strictly Ballroom" and, perhaps unsurprisingly, "Australia").

2023-05-02 02:55:41 +0000 UTCPaul Hogan and Linda Koslowski did another film in 1990 called “Almost An Angel”. It’s a good movie. I think it’s a good one to watch around the Christmas holiday season.
