2021-07-02 14:21:45 +0000 UTCI remember first seeing this episode and it caught me so off guard and I didn’t like how the shooting was handled because without actual death, injury, and trauma, this isn’t what a school shooting is like. And I think glee wasn’t equipped to actually do that in an episode but I will say that because it surprises the audience and tonally shifts so quickly it reminds you that until we get gun reform, this can happen at any high school even McKinley. Amazing acting performances though, the actors really carried this episode where the writing and bizarre directing shots fail the show.

2021-04-24 05:28:58 +0000 UTCAlso in the original script because Heather Morris was Pregnant around that time they had planned a real shooting in the school and Brittany to die in this episode. That would have been horrible honestly because she is one of the icons of the show :)

2021-04-23 12:26:29 +0000 UTCThe acting in this episode is great, especially from Heather and Melissa, but this episode was also super controversial when it came out. It aired 4 months after the Sandy Hook elementary shooting, so a lot of people though it was too soon, including the people involved in the tragedy.

2021-04-23 09:02:12 +0000 UTCI agree, the acting was great in the scenes, but considering all the nonsense that was happening before, it's a little hard to take the episode as seriously as I should.

2021-04-23 06:27:17 +0000 UTCI think that this episode dispite all controversy, is one of the best episodes of season 4. I think that the acting is great especially the scene with Brittany in the girls bathroom! Also I just love her friendship with Becky they're so cute since season 1 it's a shame they didn't get more moments!!

2021-04-23 04:18:28 +0000 UTCDefinitely a touchy subject. But I will say, major props to the actors- Heather and Chord, specifically. They did a fantastic job imo.

2021-04-23 01:27:53 +0000 UTCYeah... this was a big one. It was pretty well advertised what was going to happen in the episode before it aired. I think this was fairly soon after the Parkland shooting? I don't really have an issue with the way they dealt with it. Maybe could have been better, but to me this seems like a pretty realistic representation. Also, there was at least one song in the beginning, they did Your Song, with Ryder singing it to that girl

2021-04-23 01:26:41 +0000 UTCAll I can say is this show is not equipped to handle serious topics like this. The scenes themselves were harrowing and stressful and the acting was great but....knowing the writers I knew they weren’t going to handle this well. The aftermath especially
