Gaeta hero-worshipped Baltar the first two seasons (there was even a popular fan theory at the time that he was in love with him), and of course was the one who discovered Saul and Laura’s plot to steal the election. So when Baltar rolled over for the Cylons as president, Gaeta basically blamed himself for the whole situation, because of it weren’t for him discovering the fake ballots, Laura would’ve won, and they would not have been on that planet. That explains his intense anger and wanting to kill Gaius.

I'm a spoiler nazi and get really pissed off at people spoiling and this didn't bother me, I guess you assumed correctly but it's not actually made clear bill didn't know at this point is all am saying, bill and rosyln usually thick as thieves with the plotting and secrets at that point.

2021-04-06 13:11:54 +0000 UTCyeah my read is since he was trying to get her to fall in love because of whatever visions he's apparently seen of her, got a real obsession with starbuck and her/his 'destiny' and figured that having a little girl to both look after could bring them together, and it kinda looked like it might have worked eventually had she not been rescued.

I think I said early on 'oh man they are so unbroken and fresh, the shit these people go through' - now you have a taste of the emotional damage these characters go through in this series its brutal. It's obvious Starbuck and Saul aren't going to be in good spirits despite the rescue. Lots of scars and still plenty of the show to go.
