Rachel hate aside, if you found out your partner not only was lying to you about a large part of their life and also was sleeping with others behind your back im sure you would be hurt too. this isnt one of those things that are just a small white lie.

2022-03-18 23:10:18 +0000 UTCI think the problem people have is that he did`t tell Rachel of his profession. There is a difference between sleeping with you ex once like Rachel did, and sleeping with multiple people, Several different people a week.. The main issue would be health reasons.

2021-05-06 07:30:59 +0000 UTCthis episode is so weird bc it has some great performances but also like,,, what the fuck. transphobia is not a "feud", Sue harassing a student is not a "feud", and Will's anger is justified but also??&%^#*&@ I have no words to describe the lack of boundaries in this show omg. and yeah, the whole Brody being a sex worker storyline was not handled well in the least, but ofc glee wouldn't handle it well. Brody's literally just putting himself through college like,,, he's obviously ashamed of it, we don't need I-Assault-Sex-Workers Finn to come in like&*#$^#(@# Since he was having sex with other people, that needed to be a conversation between him and Rachel, but also I don't think they ever had a conversation about monogomy/exclusivity/really even defined the terms of their relationship, and its not like Rachel didn't sleep w Finn a couple weeks earlier anyway. The whole thing just feels like Finnchel shippers weren't liking Brody so the writers just kinda jumped ship and wrote this like,,, ugh. But also all this being said, Sue doing Super Bass is truly like top 5 moments of this show, and Cheerio Blaine is the superior Blaine era, like,,,,,,, the fact that Kurt and Blaine have both been Cheerios but not at the same time,, we wouldn't be able to handle their power omg. oh also stan Unique, wish her storylines amounted to more than just her being -a trans-, but yas stan Unique

2021-04-05 16:32:04 +0000 UTCUM, in this episode, they don't present it as being a bad thing. Even the dude at the hotel said everyone had a valid reason for being there. It's the fact that Brody is a liar that he's in the wrong. It's the fact that he and Rachel have had unprotected sex at least once, for her to be worried about being pregnant, and he hasn't told her about sleeping with women he doesn't even know. There's nothing wrong with sex work unless it puts other people in danger.

2021-04-05 04:07:50 +0000 UTCAgreed. The wrongdoing was that he violated the boundaries they established for an open and honest relationship -- especially since that meant concealing from Rachel, his sexual partner, that he was having sex with multiple other, unknown partners. There's nothing wrong with sex work, but it does carry certain risks, and Rachel should have been able to make informed decisions about her own sexual health and safety.

2021-04-05 00:08:16 +0000 UTCThe writers did Brody so dirty he was so good to Rachel and then they pull this shit
Rae
2021-04-05 00:07:49 +0000 UTCYeah I agree with that. It wasn't cool of him to expect Rachel to be honest with him while hiding that kind of thing from her, especially while he's presumably sleeping with her. That's the problem, not the job itself. If they wanted to make Brody a shady character surely there's a better way they could've done it other than demonizing sex work.

2021-04-04 23:23:41 +0000 UTCHonestly Brody being a sex worker shouldn’t be presented as the problem. It should be the fact that he was supposed to be in an open and honest relationship with Rachel and hid this huge part of his life from her.

2021-04-04 23:23:14 +0000 UTCAlso the way they try to pretend that being a sex worker is the worst thing a person could do. Oh no Brody, don’t explain yourself, you’re obviously only doing this to break Rachel’s heart, no other reason at all. I haven’t even started watching yet and I’m already angry, wow😂

2021-04-04 22:52:35 +0000 UTCOkay I Still Believe/Super Bass is iconic, idc. I think that I actually blocked most of the Brody stuff from my memory, because jfc did they handle this terribly. Like, I love Santana but this was not it. And that "Stay away from my future wife" line was beyond creepy. 😬 They'd been doing such a good job with Finn too. Ffs, just tell Rachel and let her deal with it,,,, Also the stuff with Ryder didn't bother me that much tbh. Like, sure he's nowhere near my favorite or anything, but it was realistic. He was ignorant and bigoted, learned a lesson, and said he'd do better. I can deal with that. It's better than "jokes" about Unique that made up the first half of the season. Idk, like obviously the situation was bad, but I feel like people make the whole thing out to be worse than it was (in my opinion!). Also Will Schuester 🤡🤡🤡 Super pumped for the next episode though- it's definitely one of my favorites!!

2021-04-04 22:51:24 +0000 UTCThis episode makes me so incredibly mad. The way Finn thinks he owns Rachel and everyone was just okay with that. I can’t-
