Hey everyone!

I'm happy to announce that Minifantasy - Fae Depths is already available for downloading! :)

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit afraid before starting to work on this asset pack. The asset packs that visit alternative planes of reality are always daunting; the main reason is that I have to put on the screen the representation of something that differs from reality, whether because it's a dream, a different dimension, the realm of dreams, or, like in this case, a magical plane where the magical energy is almost palpable.

Representing these kinds of environments is hard because they lie more in the domain of ideas and feelings than in physical and real locations. Add the limitation of pixel art (and the even more limiting super low resolution of Minifantasy), and then you get a scared Krishna, hahaha.

OK, after all the dramatic introduction, I have to say that despite the initial scary feelings, I have enjoyed creating this asset pack a lot, and I think the result is, no doubt, one of the most beautiful asset packs in the collection.

The dark palette with saturated colors, and the contrast of bright touches here and there, makes a nice base for an otherworldly space. The light, floating orbs and the glowing flora make the rest.

Another feature of the asset pack that might look small, but that I enjoyed experimenting with, is the new elevations/uneven terrain. The intensive use of slopes helps create a more organic ground configuration, and I'm pretty sure we will see this type of tilesets more in the future.
