This show does a great job of balancing serious themes while inserting cartoony fun. Aang's outburst at Joo Dee was just the right amount of silly humor without undercutting the dramatic tension. Not many shows pull that off. But ATLA excels at it.

2025-02-21 02:49:06 +0000 UTCThis show is just a work of pure art <3 I do love the depth - in the previous episode, we see there are some good people in the Fire Nation, and of course in Ba Sing Se, we see there are some awful people in the Earth Kingdom. At least the GAang is back together.
