I too enjoyed the movie and the story of his rise and relationship with Josephine. I have seen other movies about him and read his history in books and school. But I liked this humanist take on his story. Glad you enjoyed it too. Thanks for bringing this movie to us, another movie I probably would have skipped w/o you. π

2024-01-12 20:42:16 +0000 UTCI was also one of the people who was super excited for this film, went to see it day one in theaters only to come out of it supper disappointing. They didnt even get Napoleon correct, like at all when it came to his real life character traits and presence as a historical figure. To be quite honest, the movie "Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure" got Napoleon more correct than this film.

2024-01-12 18:43:13 +0000 UTCI'm sorry...but this movie is TERRIBLE! I went into this movie knowing next to nothing about Napoleon, and I STILL know next to nothing about Napoleon! There was absolutely no information about his rise to power, how he got the French people to follow him, his war with the rest of Europe, his conquest into Russia, nothing! Whose bright idea was it to make the whole entire movie about the sexual tension between him and his wife? This was possibly one of the most disappointing movies I have ever seen.
