Some people reacted the same as you, they thought it was emotional and important to show the backstory for Wanda and Agatha and they think they’re deserve awards for they’re acting. Some people thought it was boring and a waste of time. I, personally enjoyed it. They acting has been superb and so has the writing. One interesting thing to keep in mind, TV shows used to have at least one episode at some point during its time on television to recap everything that happened, it was known as a flashback, or clip show. I think it was an interesting coincidence or a nice touch if they did that on purpose. As for the show itself, just remember, this is mostly setting up the movies while filling in some blanks along the way. We aren’t going to get all the answers until Dr. Strange 2, Spider-Man 3, and the rest of the tv shows and movies. Think of it like how you’re watching all the old Marvel movies to Endgame, or how you’re watching the old Spider-Man or Batman movies, some questions are answered but you’re going to have to wait until the very end for all the answers. There are a lot of big storylines that happened in the comics and the way Marvel is going, this could go for the next 20 years. Also don’t forget that while the shows and movies are based off the comics, they are also creating their own storylines, so it’s not going to be exactly like the comics. In the comics Agatha teaches Wanda how to use her powers, maybe she does in the show as well. In the comics, Vision has an evil brother at first, made the same way Vision was and he was called Wonderman, which is what this new version of Vision might be. It could also be Ultron, revived in Vision. Now that Tony (Iron Man) is dead, who knows what they’re doing with his tech. The shadowy figure Wanda saw after reacting to the Mind Stone was probably her seeing herself as Scarlet Witch (my guess anyway), since the silhouette resembled that costume. Maybe it’s Mephisto, or somebody else. Also, she was a Mutant in the comics and had her powers from a young age and was Magneto’s daughter. Maybe this is a new storyline because they couldn’t introduce Mutants like it’s been discussed before, because of the studio rights. Or maybe they’re going to find a creative way to explain Mutants like they did with Wanda where something like an Infinity Stone unlocked the Mutant genes and made her more powerful. I would say at this point, you’re basically as caught up as you can be other than watching the other stuff just to fill in a few blanks here and there.
