New Seakily Peekily - Corsair review!

For your eyes only guys, this will go up in a day or so from now!
I don't think the shower was considered as closely as it might have been. Every artist at CIG has a different apititude and preference for how detailed they want to get and isn't directed in most cases by the higher ups for how to do the fine little things. It may just be that it was overlooked.
As far as the structure goes, I do tend to experiment from time to time to see if it gets better results. I've found that putting a hook at the start gets people interested, and leaving the most interesting bit to the end keeps them to the end. However, I'm not always sure what the most interesting bit is. I would think the interior is, which is why I leave it for last. Doug Demuro seems to use this format to great effect, which is what inspired my more recent format.

Not at all, I think your music selection was great. I would have used pirate music, but I think it would have cheapened the video. But I make videos primarily to make myself laugh so I wouldn't have cared.

Great Review!
The remarks on sails and ship opened a new perspective for me. I did not like the corsair at first, when it came out. It reminded me to much of Star Wars: like a Lambda-class T-4a Shuttle (Vader shuttle), turned to the site. Or the whole X-Wing, Y-Wing naming scheme. Star Wars, the first 3 are cool. Yet, it seems to me an overall nostalgic heavy fandom hampers creator in the whole genre to create true unique new spaceships. Just another variant on the X-Wing becomes boring after a while. So, here comes your review. It changed my perspective quite a bit to sailing ship idea. Well done, well presented!
Your remarks on the wingβs hinges were a great introduction into narrative design theory. I like that part a lot. And overall good remarks on the detail. One of my favorite videos for a long time!
Just one question concerning the shower:
With these Drake walls (which are a cool design) I always wonder where all the splashing water and the shampoo would go. How does one clean or dry these walls? Overall, a simple steel wall seems a more believable design for the showers.
And a general idea:
As you mentioned not everybody watches that long. The video put the aesthetic reflections up front. Great for me, that is what I come for. Yet, maybe most people are more interested in a functional review about gunβs dps, movement and blind spot like you do at the end. Have you experimented with changing that order? Functional review first then designs/architecture review. Maybe more viewers would stick around.
On the other hand it would hide your unique approach on YouTube behind content every other game content creator would produce. So, not a good idea.

Yeah I get you, but I found the perfect track and couldnβt just dismiss it! Wonβt rule out using that idea for future vids though lol.

Fittingly, I was watching The Longest Johns just before this. Very nice B roll footage. I'd have gone with pirate themed music if this were my video, and I'm sure it would have been poorer for it. Think I'm in the mood to watch Space Pirate Captain Harlock tonight after this. Love the review.
