morale is the biggest x-factor in a war
you can have billion $ equipment, without will to fight you collapse (afghanistan) and the taliban inherit some shiny toys
pretty easy to count F-35s, destroyers, number of cruise missiles
but how many days you could last being shelled/drone-striked in a damp rat-infested trench?
harder to estimate until for real. now we have some idea of it for ukraine and russia
