NY seems like the one state where a leftist is going to run independent or with the Green Party with someone prominent. So the Dem ticket gets split, Trump Sr. won +600k more votes, many in NYC Burroughs with loads of Hispanics. So if you’re Don Jr., why not make a run for Gov? Seems like it would be in your family’s self-interest to not have Laticia James exact revenge on your father once she’s governor.

2021-08-13 23:45:53 +0000 UTCMaarek - you briefly mentioned the Ralph Northam blackface thing. What drives me nuts about that story was that it was very similar to the Cuomo thing. A day or 2 before that story broke there was footage going around of Northam in a Virginia congressional hearing arguing in favor of, for lack of a better phrase, post birth abortion. It was some pretty sick shit, I'm not sure if footage of it still exists but I remember Alex Jones acknowledging it on one of his Rogan appearances. That got totally memoryholed by the yearbook photo story to the point that it passed even most rightwingers by. Just like the putting covid patients in old folks homes story likely will be. Its so weird and messed up, they'll still punish one of their own for fucking up but conjure up an idpol justification rather than ever admitting fault on anything that could imply a Democrat made a bad policy decision. Guess its an Alinsky 'always stay within your area of expertise' type deal, its just crazy to watch it unfold in real time while basically nobody notices.
